Lockdown update: Re-opening

It is with great pleasure that we can finally start to make plans to re-open from Monday 12th April 2021. A massive heartfelt thank you to everybody who has supported us through lockdown and whilst we were unable to offer the usual treatments. Your kindness and support has been invaluable!
You can rest assured that all Covid - safe systems are still in place and will continue to be until we get the all clear.

Amongst the current madness of the world, there stands, in a small corner of a tranquil garden in Hafan y Dorlan, Llanrhaeadr Ym, a delightful log cabin overlooking the river Rhaeadr on its flow to the sea. A truly calming oasis, where since the summer of 2019 an increasing range of Holistic Therapies have been offered. It is without doubt that there is a growing acknowledgment to the huge importance of taking time to take care of ourselves mentally as well as physically. Jen first trained as a Reflexologist and Massage Therapist back in 1997, so with a bit of a brush up and some professional development, Rhaeadr Retreat was born. The mission is to provide an opportunity to step off the treadmill of life and help you to rediscover your inner serenity, undo the knots of stress and pain that are blocking your inner peace, calm and creativity and reconnect you with your true self.
So, what is Holistic Therapy?
‘Holistic’ comes from the Greek word ‘holos’ meaning ‘whole’. Rather than just addressing an immediate symptom, a holistic therapist will look for the underlying cause by considering your current physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual states of health and wellbeing. They will then work to restore the body’s natural balance, leading to a better quality of life.
While it has been effectively used for centuries, the scientific community today is now recognizing the importance holistic therapy plays in maintaining good health and overall wellbeing. Holistic therapy is being used more and more by people wanting to find balance and harmony within themselves. Holistic therapy
has gained in popularity especially among those looking to manage chronic stress, help with relaxation and resetting our systems, aiding our mental wellbeing as well as soothing or addressing physical ailments encouraging the body’s own self- healing mechanisms.
Holistic therapy is a completely natural and non-invasive treatment, suitable for all ages. It offers a more natural approach to healing and wellbeing and can be used alongside orthodox medicine.
